Reminders – Upcoming VSG schedule January 2022

The VSG meets weekly on Fridays. All AET members are welcome to come to any/all meetings they are available and want to join.  There is no commitment to attend all the meetings, because we know that scheduling can be difficult.

Below is the monthly schedule. The group meet sat the same times (listed below) on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th weeks of every month.  The time of the VSG on the 3rd Friday is the only one that varies month-to-month.

  • 1st Friday (January 7) at 8:00am (PT)/11:00am(ET) – open forum style (anything that anyone would like to discuss is welcome!)
  • 2nd Friday (January 14) at 11:00am (PT)/2:00pm (ET) – open forum style (anything that anyone would like to discuss is welcome!)
  • 3rd Friday (January 21) at 11:00am (PT)/2:00pm (ET) – special topic: Discover how you can contribute your ideas to The Educational Therapist Journal.  It is easier than you think! A conversation with Sherry Cramer, journal editor
  • There will be no VSG on January 27 because there is an AET-sponsored Workshop that day (The Neuropsychology of Written Language Disorders: An Introduction to the FAW, Presented by: Dr. Steven G. Feifer)
  • All of the VSGs for the month of January 2022 (and almost all in general) have the same login info. 

Zoom login information is available on the AET website, in the members’ center, under “study group resources.”

The Northeast Regional VSG (NEC VSG)  

We are excited to announce a new Virtual Study Group (VSG) for AET members who live in the Northeastern US states.  
 
The Northeast VSG meets on the 1st Friday of each month at 1:00 – 2:00pm (ET). November's Northeast VSG meeting will be moved to the next Friday, November 12th as to not coincide with the AET National conference.

Virtual Program Services

The Program Services Committee is pleased to announce a new virtual program for members of AET who are new to private practice: Entrepreneurship for Educational Therapists (EET).  EET is a facilitated virtual support group for ETs in the early stages of launching and/or expanding a private business practice, and will launch its first cohort this month for up to 12 ETs. Meetings will take place on the 4th Wednesday of each month from October 2021 to June 2022. Will be meeting virtually on January 15 at 9 am (PST) with a guest speaker, Nancy Barcel, a local to the Sacramento region speech and language practitioner and clinic owner.

Nancy will discuss how educational therapists can collaborate with speech and language therapists.
